Result: Feedback from the workshops has been extremely positive, with HMPS senior managers finding the ideas presented both challenging and useful. Many participants have talked about working the ideas with their own teams, and several have utilised TSO Consulting’s services directly with their senior teams in prisons.
Situation: Following a series of senior manager Development Centres, the Prison Service initiated a new programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for its senior managers.
Task: To design and facilitate a series of one-day masterclasses that would form a central pillar of the new CPD programme.
Action: We developed 3 masterclasses that were designed to introduce HMPS senior managers to new thinking around:
- Organisational DNA – what makes successful organisations really tick.
- Strategic Leadership – the key ingredients for leading your organisation to the next level.
- Partnership working – how to partner for tangible mutual benefit.
These workshops each ran 4-5 times over the course of a 12 month period, at locations in London and the Midlands.
