cope with change
The pace of change was affecting a company’s workforce. Bosses realised that people's ability to cope with new business processes was strained and that this could cause stress-related illnesses.
The company wanted to reassure people that change can be positive. It decided to help staff realise that if you have ways of coping with pressure, change need not induce stress. Our work included a learning programme for 200 people ranging from the Board to team leaders.
Key moments
Staff realised there was a stress support network there to support them.
Critical results
Managers now better understand stress and there is no stigma attached to suffering from stress.
Interactive workshops with Lyn Bicker (above) helped people to understand the symptoms of stress emphasised the need to step back and take stock when pressure increases.
