leading strategy and change
Company bosses needed to quickly introduce new business processes. Aware the pace of change could strain their workforce, the top team realised it should invest in leading people through a challenging time.
The company wanted staff to have a positive experience of the change process and decided to bring staff techinques to cope with pressure and avoid stress.
Key moment
Staff realised bosses understood how change might affect their health at work.
Critical result
People were better able deal with pressure and steer the company through a challenging time.
Our work included a learning programme for 200 people including the Board, senior managers and team leaders. It was designed by Helena Brown (above) to help people to recognise the symptoms of stress; to feel confident about taking a step back and take stock when pressure increased; and to understand the company attached no stigma to stress. Practical help included interactive workshops and a stress support network.
