create and set direction
The chief executive of a specialist manufacturing company had a vision of the future; and he needed his top team to work out the high level strategy that would help them achieve it.
The boss didn't want a two day workshop which resulted in an unachievable wish-list. At a bespoke event Lyn Bicker (above) helped the top team address challenges such as top team dynamics and commercial pressures... time and focus were also key elements that came under scrutiny. And Lyn helped the group understand how engagement and communication with senior managers would be key.
Key moments
The top team realised ‘nice to do’ activities don’t necessarily produce the results that matter.
Critical results
The team significantly improved time efficiency and focus on priorities
The work produced a list of clearly identified objectives which included the need to spend time in priority areas.
