Performance Improvement
Are your leaders performing up to their roles? Put your aspiring leaders under the performance spotlight of a professional theatrical production to hone their talent.
'Leading Roles' is a new approach to leadership development for senior executives, developed by TSO Consulting in partnership with Central School of Speech and Drama (CSSD).
The Leading Roles approach uses the demands and challenges of staging a play as a tool to explore critical leadership skills and behaviours.

By adopting the responsibilities of some of the key roles in producing a play, this innovative programme helps business people relate playmaking to leadership issues in their own environment. With its emphasis on personal and team performance, it is highly relevant in the currently demanding business context.
Under TSOC's guidance, and using professional performers, programme delegates produce, direct, stage-manage, and crew a one-act play performed by trained actors at CSSD's Embassy Theatre, London.

Delegates are tasked to adopt key job roles, ranging from director and producer, to sound and lighting designer, to stage Manager and to front of house manager. Their challenge is to work with trained actors whose role is to play the characters in the script, but in the manner of a drama queen, a jealous rival, the ‘wannabe’ director, the keen understudy, the theorist, and the flamboyant ‘last minute’ performer.
The programme’s finale is a live performance for colleagues… and theatre critics!
LEADING ROLES is designed for:
- Directors and Senior Managers who want to develop leadership skills
